Orders & Shipping
Can I make changes to my order before it ships?
Unfortunately, we generally cannot make changes to an order or cancel an order after it has been submitted.
If you have any questions about your order, please email us at contact@thewarcriminals.com.
Why was I charged tax?
Taxes are calculated and charged automatically according to the international, federal and local tax laws that govern e-commerce in the United States and the country and region being shipped to.
DOMESTIC ORDERS (USA)
Sales tax is collected on goods and services sold by a State's tax authorities. If your delivery location is in a State that collects sales tax on the products sold by The War Criminals, or collects sales tax based on inventory stored locally, your order is subject to sales tax.
DOMESTIC ORDERS (UK)
Because The War Criminals is an U.S.-based business with no U.K. business entity, the products sold in the online store are considered "imports" and are subject to customs duties and taxes.
Duties and taxes are collected on imports and some exports by a country’s customs authorities. A good’s value will usually dictate the import duty, and the duties also can vary by product category. Depending on the context, an import duty may also be known as a customs duty, tariff, or import tariff. The duties are mandatory and must be paid, whether the fees are paid by the shipper or (as typically is the case) by the customer/recipient. Other factors besides the good’s value define the amount of duties to be paid, including trade agreements between countries and specific customs authorities. For example, some countries have minimum thresholds in terms of good’s value below which no duties apply (AKA “de minimis” value)
In addition to duties, many governments levy a tax on imports. Like duties, import taxes are usually a percentage of the good’s value. Also, some countries charge a variety of taxes on the goods imported. For example, Canadian provinces charge a variety of taxes – from a goods and service tax (GST) to a harmonized system tax (HST) to a retail sales tax (RST).
How long will it take for my order to arrive?
DOMESTIC (USA, UK)
The delivery time varies depending on the route/destination. Standard shipments usually take between 3-4 business days. Note that this time range does not include fulfillment time in the warehouse or any delivery delays due to customs clearance, extreme weather, or pandemic-related conditions.
INTERNATIONAL
The delivery time varies depending on the route/destination. Standard shipments usually take between 6-14 business days. Note that this time range does not include fulfillment time in the warehouse or any delivery delays due to customs clearance, extreme weather, or pandemic-related conditions.
Expect an email to let you know your order is on the way. You will also receive real-time tracking information as your order is shipped, in transit and out for delivery.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship internationally.
For a complete list of countries we serve, please see {personalize for your business/add link}.
Unfortunately, there are a few countries around the globe that we do not ship to since either local government policies (e.g., embargos) or logistical challenges prevent us from securely, quickly, and reliably sending our products to them.
My order never arrived, what do I do?
We’re sorry to hear that.
If your package has been marked delivered and it's only been a day or two, sit tight! Sometimes the carriers scan it before it gets to you. Keep an eye out for it in the next few hours.
If the tracking hasn’t been updated in an unusually long time or if it was never updated since the label was created, chances are it was lost in transit. Please send an email to contact@thewarcriminals.com so we can help you look into this.
If the shipping address was a temporary location, we do not assume responsibility if the recipient is no longer at that address upon delivery within the projected shipping timeline.
Customer support must be notified of any lost packages within 30 days of the ship date. If a package is not reported as lost within 30 days of the ship date, customer service will not be able to assist with a replacement or refund.
Returns & Exchanges
What is your return/exchange policy?
We generally do not accept returns.
In the event that your order arrives damaged in any way, please email us as soon as possible at contact@thewarcriminals.com with your order number and a photo of the item’s condition. We address these on a case-by-case basis and will try our best to work towards a satisfactory solution.
If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.
If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to contact us at contact@thewarcriminals.com
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days minus return shipping costs. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.
If more than 30 days have passed since we’ve approved your return, please contact us at contact@thewarcriminals.com.
